Best Live version / update ever.
Best Live version / update ever.
Just watched the videos (both on the Ableton site and the Cycling74 site) and I'm very impressed with the new Live8 Share among other things. Not to mention MaxforLive.
This will take Live to a whole new level worldwide.
Endless possibilities it seems.

They definately hit this one out of the ballpark.
All the people who felt Ableton were taking Live out of the whole live composition/on the fly manipulation and wanted it to just become another DAW are probably feeling a bit red in the face right now. The APC40, step sequencer and Looper have now made sure that Ableton is untouchable for a whole new level of hybrid DJing and original live material.

who cares I have alchemy which does everything I wanted with sampler better anywayglitchrock-buddha wrote:It does look they they really did it all.
There is just one thing I'm wondering about. While operator certainly got some great additions, I think sampler had quite a few requests. I'm wondering if sampler got any modifications...

Ya but the whole <record, drag and drop in sampler> thing is the bee's knees. It makes Live the ultimate sampler. Record something, drag it into sampler. Couldn't be easier. Sampler just needs certain things like timestretch/granular mode.Geezus wrote:who cares I have alchemy which does everything I wanted with sampler better anywayglitchrock-buddha wrote:It does look they they really did it all.
