WattStax.
the docuemntary of the Watts concert put on by Stax, with a lot of their artists. This is mindblowing live music, Isaac Hayes, Bar Kays, Richard Pryor (the coke years) doing intros, and lots of grabs of street life and peeps chatting about the riots.
the sheer musicianship make me despair at my own paltry skills every time i see it, then i go and practice all day again!

No its not, its scored by a Guy from Austin Texas called Graham Reynolds. He, in turn, used a group called the Golden Arm Trio. The movie had a couple of Radiohead songs as back ground or incidental music and a Thom York solo as the last credits.last man on earth wrote: A Scanner Darkly (Soundtrack by Radiohead)
This is a killing score and i was pimping it to all and any one that would listen.
Another very cool score is for Donny Darko. This was writen and arranged by Michael Andrews.
For a fly on the wall look at a band falling apart check out "Dig"
And for just shear audacity "The great rock and roll swindle" and then the "The filth and the fury" Both Julian Temple films...

The Doors is one of my favorites. Val Kilmer does an amazing job with the vocals.
I've heard that Dead Presidents is a good disc from the movie. Haven't heard it.
Love the Making of Electric Ladyland.
