im looking to buy a new set of studio monitors was wondering if anyone can recommend me a good set?

im not looking to spend any more than £300.

yeah seen them. some good reports about them.

was looking at the Mackie MR5 as well they sound good as well. any one have any views on them?

Save another £100 and cross your fingures that you will find a pair of Mackie MR8's

I duno if i just became a musical genious or these things really give you the exact sound that is being made.

All my tracks sound pretty well on everything from car systems, hi-fis, laptops, headphones.

A very dramatic change from the Alesis Mk2s

Well i got them for about £470 from http://absolutemusic.co.uk/.
Dv247.com where doing them for £400 dilivered but the only sent one out as they didnt have another one in stock and the one they was faulty. SACKED!!! Sent it back and a guy Tom from http://absolutemusic.co.uk/ sorted me out on the phone. Shiped on the day and becuase im in n.ireland it wasnt next day but the day after.

Pretty satisfied.

just to jump in before you buy, ill vote for Adam A7s. i havnt heard those mackys so i cant really comment. but adams are glorious

check them out, they have a great track record so far, with loads of acclaim.

€699 for the pair on thomann i think
