[4550] screen blur with zooming, even after return to 100%

As the title says zooming out results in slight blurring of edges. When I returned to 100% it was still blurry but only in patches.

system spec:
(laptop)
windows vista home premium SP1
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHZ
4 GB ram
NVidia GeForce 9300M GS
