Sample Browser/ Organizer

Post by infiniteB » Wed Feb 04, 2009 2:29 pm

Hey, is there a sample/loop browser (similar [but more advanced] to Mackie Tracktion's, Garageband and other DAWs) that I can use with Live (AU/VST I guess? or just an external browser that is not a plug-in?) and organize my samples any way I want (by instrument, key, type, anything else), and even organize and search via deeper and deeper subcategories the way I want (Bass : Acoustic Bass : C Major : 90 bpm : "Bass in Your Face"), etc... ?

hey that request is heaven send. yesterday i did sample more than 1000 drum sounds and now must name/organize them. thanks.

if someone wants to d/l that stuff, pm. its >800 taken from the punchy and popular roland r8m drum machine and some of its cards (jazz, 808/electronic, mallets and soon also ethnic percussions), AND: >250 sounds from the little mfb 502 analog drum machine, with 100 samples of these are from its wonderful analog bass drum. it ran through a british analog mixer of the 90ies, the a/d conversion was taken over by a rent 3000$ monster (ua 2192) on 44/16 to avoid dither artifacts. the samples were cut with samplitude 9.

hm thank you, but its more for theat editing stuff.

i would need something like a simple file explorer on the left with the possibility to name/rename files and a very basical audio cutter on the right.
