Copy/duplicate Live's audio effects?

Post by squelcht » Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:35 pm

Yep---1st post ever..... Ok, is it or is it not relevant that you cannot copy/duplicate a tweeked effect in a track & paste it elsewhere (i.e. onto another track, rack, etc.) , so you can use in multiple times throughout your project without having to rebuild the same effect from scratch? Surely there's simple approach to this, righto? :?:

on pc, ctrl click and drag your device/rack to another track. just have to keep the ctrl button pressed down until you release the mouse, this way you duplicate your device to another track.

read the manual :p

You could also just route both tracks you want the effect on to one audio track and have the effect on that. This way if you make any further tweeks to the effect it'll save you having to copy it across again. Also will save you a bit of CPU as well.
