i actually took a spill on ice recently myself. felt my legbone BEND. *shiver* not fun. landed with my foot under me and i think i sprained my ankle/foot ligaments. i laid there for a bit myself, in the cold, thinking that thought. will i freeze to death, or can i walk? not fun.

swift healing to ya. your story makes my ouchie sound positively pleasurable. :/

Sprains are no fun either, glad it was not worse. There is nothing quite like the "laying on the ice wondering what the hell to do next" blues

This thread will get cheerier I hope,

today I go to physical therapy, and for the past days have been able to get around on crutches without it being completely exhausting or painfully difficul.

sorry to hear this - I wish you a speedy recovery...having had an ACL replacement last year, I can tell you that patience and physical therapy are both your friends!!

haha-- no.

The pain stuff I've gotten works well enough, I get some weird dreams though. Last night I dreamed I was deep sea diving, only it was like on another planet, down through this mist towards this creature that I caught up with my hand, and then all of a sudden I dreamed that I had returned to earth, was laying on my back in bed brutally strangling a cat, it's bulging eyes pleading with me for release. It was horribly real, but it turns out I was just holding two fingers on my right hand with my left hand when I woke up. I almost didn't want to wake up, in case one of the cats had climbed up on the bed and I had killed it. lol.
