No. I brought up the US nuclear arsenal, while discussing Vietnam and Afghanistan. I made a point about the warheads not being used in the interest of mankind. I don't think ANY nation want to go down the path of nuclear war.
You asked me, if I thought the US would launch nuclear weapons, during a civil war on its own soil. I said yes. I said yes, because my idea of a civil war inside the USA, is one of massive destruction. Drawing on the past, from just what is taught in school. The Civil War, was a very bloody, very deadly, very intense war.
I don't think the United States will ever see something like that again.
Actually, I believe we are moving to a time were governments are consolidating, and not splitting apart. Look at Europe as a model for this.
The United States, and many of the worlds greater powers, will launch nuclear weapons, in response to a nuclear attack. I think, that is the truth all of us on Earth, suffer under. That is why we have things like, "the doomsday clock," and "proliferation treaties."
I'm not trying to be morbid. I love my country. I hope I love all human life as well. I certainly don't want to see a nuclear war. I don't think it is such a strange discussion.
Don't worry about it...
Cheers...

hmm, consolidating? its more of a struggle for power for every nation inside the eu... everybody is looking only after the interests of their own ending in totally absurd decisions inside the european parliament.j2j wrote: Actually, I believe we are moving to a time were governments are consolidating, and not splitting apart. europe is not a good role model for your kind of *consolodation* of national goverments,

What do you mean, "my kind of consolidation." I didn't say Europe was a, "role," model. I said it was a model. I know Europe has tons of problems, and I certainly didn't say, "all governments will be consolidated by March 12, 2012."
I just think, we are moving toward consolidation. I meant it, in a very broad sense. I think, we will, maybe, start to see some consolidation in Africa next.
BUT..
I don't think, that I am defining consolidation here, to mean anything more than the dictionary definition of it.
There is a big problem on the net, with people reading exactly what they want to read. I said look at Europe as a model, imho, it is a pretty good model for several governments that are sharing a currency, and an economic environment. Is it a, "role," model? Probably not. But I never said it was.

nerve gas works fine for zombies, nuking our own cities would only happen if aliens invaded and we know that won't happen because they're already walking among us.
