Yes they are good.

However, if you're just using it for music production, you really don't need to spend so much money on a monitor with all the features on the Apple displays. I've seen 3 of these monitors: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824001309 attached to a Mac Pro and they are really fucking beautiful... Especially at $300.

Very nice. I really want a big external monitor for my room; trying to use Absynth 4 with a 13" screen sitting a good foot away is a pain in the arse!

I would get a cheaper display - I think I heard that Apple displays have the same components as good Dell displays (or at least I think that was the case recently).

I have heard that it's BenQ who supplies both Dell and Apple with the monitor innards. I have two 20" BenQs, both of which were $200 or less, and I can assure you that they're about as kickass as a flat panel can be. Mine don't have super fast refresh times, and like all LCDs they're probably not particularly "accurate" color-wise, but they're just fine with me. They also have both analog and DVI jacks. Buy one.

I might add that I run nothing but macs, and I love Apple, and those monitors are jizz-worthy, but they're a total ripoff. They can justify the high price of a lot of their items, but those monitors do not fall in that category. I mean, what's the 30-incher cost, more than a base Pro tower? Please.

Biracial gay pr0n never looked so good as they did on Sparky's 30incher in his "studio". The best 10-12 minutes of my life!)
