This is a followup to the bug solved with 5125 (http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=108645). It seemed to work with b19 as far as I could tell (I did not use it long), but it seems to have broken with b20 (or at least that is where I noticed it). The difference between them though is that is seems like the clips that run the Sample Analysis in Progress don't crash it but others don't even get to run this process and crash immediately after clicking the "Click to Preview" button. I went back to b19 to see if it did the same thing there and it did but I did not recall this happening. Perhaps it may have had to do with the Library upgrade?
Thanks,
Derek

Re: b20 Some clips created in prev. versions crash with Preview
Would have replied to the original 5125 thread but I can't post in the closed bugs forum.

Re: [5204] Some clips created in old versions crash with Preview
Actually this is a different one as 5125. There are several conditions required to run into this crash at all.
1) In your current set, the "Cue out" routing in the Master track must be routed to a physical output that is currently not available
2) You need a effect device in the master track which has latency (for example a Compressor)
If that is true and you preview a Live clip it would crash Live.

Hi,
This should be fixed in beta 22. Can you re-check?

Amaury

Yes it is. Thanks!!! Any reason the clips don't autopreview and wav/mp3 files do (Sorry this is a little out of the realm of this topic)?
