Another good example of corporate mafia at work. Its outrageous to have laws with loop holes bigger than the Grand Canyon that can be exploited by some well known corporation. Im sure Monster cable has realized theres more then one way to make a profit then selling a product by shaking down whoever they can. My question now is when are they going to sue Seseme Street and Cookie Monster?

Here the email I just sent to the Monster PR guy:

What a bunch of dicks you guys are being...

I will NEVER< EVER< EVER buy a Monster cable again..You ego has really gotten in your way, and the masses of musicians who forked out ALOT of extra cash to get your cable WILL look out for the little guy and betray you.

Dicks!

They got sued and settled out of court! As did the Discovery channel, and Disney! Can you believe that?

here is an idea.

i understand that monstercable has an unlimited lifetime warranty. now i got about $200 worth of their cables at least. what we can all do is this... destroy our cables, and make them give us new ones from their unlimited lifetime warranty replacement. if all us users did that, we would put a big dent in their pocketbooks, which seems like the thing they care about.

what are your thoughts?

you honestly think something that costs $1 to make and $10 to sell will put a dent in their budget ?

how much surplus cable you think those guys have?

just find a political angle and push that .. you have more chance to impact things then

ya a political angle is better, but the warranty thing would still be an annoying bugger, hahaha!

Won't do a thing, Monster cables break, and break pretty quickly, so their business model is actually in part based upon replacing defective cables.

its especially gross when they solicit donations for tsunami victims on the front page of their website. hey monster, why don't you donate all the money you've been using to sue people.

fuckers.

i realize that the cables dont cost them much to make, its the price they sell them at, that would hurt their yearly profits margin, but of coarse, everyone would have to do it. which is not likely.

btw, what are they going to do about the loch ness monster? i bet hes just trembling right now.
