[dbu] Few Collision presets have artifacts

Post by photonal » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:14 pm

When playing the 'Ambient and Evolving' Collision presets there are often audio glitches - they don't sound like they should have those artifacts. Other Collision presets play fine.

I find that some of those Collision presets give me glitches because of inconsistent CPU load: sometimes they play fine, and a moment later trying out the same thing gives me over 80% CPU load and glitches.

I'm not getting high CPU usage - but the audio glitches on some patches are definately there.

I checked with 8.0b18 and the Collision:Ambient and Evolving sounds.

Ambient-Ice Mallet Echoes + Ambient Monastery Echo Gongs still have artifacts.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce the problem.

Could you please open the preset with artefacts, create a second audio track, record the signal from Collision into the audio track. Save this project self-contained and email it to beta@ableton.com with the Thread "[dbu] Few Collision presets have artifacts" as email subject.

Please also let us know your audio setup, driver, buffer size, sample rate.

Thanks!
Daniel
