[skr] Side By Side Configuration

What does this mean?

Just got the error when opening live 8. 7 works fine

Could you please post exactly which OS you are running? (XP, Vista, Vista64 etc.)

Have you tried installing the vc_redist package manually?
To do this go to the Live install folder, look for the folder Redist and double click on the file vcredist_x86.
You'll probably have to reboot after that.

yea just tried that and the install failed. i think it's a windows problem at my end not yours thanks anyway though
