hey all,
i'm looking to keep track of ideas for projects in some form of digital diary program, basically i want to be able to have my writings, audio and video bits and pieces relating to the project all in the one place for easy reference, and be able to re-arrange it as i see fit. at the minute when im working on something i'll have a folder with subfolders for text, audio and video and while it works ok i reckon a program where i can lay out everything together would really improve my workflow. pretty much like an visual artists diary, except being able to include audio, flash animation etc.
can anyone recommend? for osx, free or paid for
cheers

I think I remember hearing people creating there own tutorial files in live for this purpose, aside from the flash animations.

Some possibilities:
OmniOutliner
OmniPlan
Devon Think
Circus Ponies Notebook
I use all of them. None are free though.

even myspace has that kind of thing
BTW - I clicked on to this thread thinking it was a list of OSX tips - as I am now a Mac convert I wanted to share this that I just found:

I suppose it's a little like 'tweakui' on windows and it allows you to turn of that damn bouncing dock icon thing!!

If you were on windows you could use OneNote, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds to me like you are asking for. You can drag audio, video, photos, files, contacts, email, webpages, etc onto pages which can be organized however you want, as well as synchronize and link to Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. But you're on OSX so........

nah ...I mean when you get a notification -like say something is installing then when it finishes the fucker starts bouncing and doesn't stop until you see to it
I actually wouldn't mind it if it only did it a couple of times

maybe the shared feature in ableton 8 without the sharing part?
I use Celtx screen-writing collaboration, and pretty much any file type can be included with your project.
