As tomorrow is April 1st I'm putting my money on the $30 automapped lemur with bells on.

What a day to have Musicmesse starting on, nobody will be able to believe any of the product launches.

A multi- touch interface would actually make sense.

Or some kind of mixer / interface.

be interesting to see. . .

Exactly, so what they'll really do is deliver some plastic tiny little stuff like the Nano series except they'll be wireless and chained together via Automap 3.3.1

It's not gonna be a frickin' lemur.

It'll be a combo of a synth and a control surface using automap, just like they said. A modern X-Station with LCD screens and probably some kind of plug-in integration ala Virus TI, doubling as a general automap controller.

If they even just replaced the knobs and encoders on the SL with those found on the nocturn, I'd already be interested. And to be honest, I'm starting to want a stand-alone synth more and more these days, so one that doubled as a software controller would be interesting indeed.
Professional Shark Jumper.

Fair enough...

...but can you confirm that it isn't what I am predicting? Or am I too close to the mark, because Novation are quite predictable? :D I forgot to say before, I reckon this synth/controller hybrid will also feature an audio interface. So, it'll be like a super-charged Xiosynth that contains all of Novation's old sounds, crossed with a Remote SL.

Seriously, I hope I am wrong. If it isn't a cheap touchscreen then I hope its this:

I like the Korg Nanokontrol, but would like to see another manufacturer's take on the concept.

Urm is it Automap 4....i believe its been a while since 3 was released, way over a month ago

Either that or its the artist series keyboards the first one being the 'Tiesto' a dedicated tarnce controller, consisting of a 1 note keyboard, a 10 octave arpeggiator thats programmed to only play one chord progression, and a big hairy filter knob that has a nose bleed setting.

Soon to be followed up by the 'Deadmau' which is the same controller but with ears

Another 'integrated synth' woo! I hope not, the Novation VSTi sounds absolutely shite. I sincerely hope they have dropped the synth side of their business and just focus on controlers.

Someone should really make a Lemur killer, they would be the ideal company to do it. .

8 keys is a bit overkill if you write Electro.

I'm guessing Novation is making an expanded Zero SL.. more along the lines of a MCU Pro. But i'm hoping it's some ridiculous piece of Moldover-designed touch-sensitive ipod-controllable bluetooth device. it should incorporate a few drum pads, faders, knobs, laptop-sized lemur-type screen, x-y pad, 8 keys, crossfader, a touchpad for mouse control, and a robot arm that reaches out and rips off your band-aid. and it should fold up into a package about the size of an eee pc.

or maybe they are going to make a piece of equipment kind of like the Use Audio Plugiator. a sort of Nocturn on steroids?

They seem to think it's a great product, let's see if they meet the expectations they have created tomorrow...
