group tracks question

It seems it's not possible to group things that are already in a group. Example: I want to compress 2 overhead drum tracks seperately and also apply effects along with the rest of the drums. Is there not a way to use group tracks to group the overheads and also group individual drums + overheads? I know I can do it by routing the audio into new audio tracks, but I figured group tracks would just be easier.

It is not currently possible to nest groups within other groups.
