Bump again..

Please add this Ableton.. using that stupid box at the top is making mental. I need FLOOOOW. That box fucks up the FLOW for SOOO many people.

As the post title says. For the love of GOD!!! Add scroll wheel zoom in arrangement view.. EVEN IF i have to hold down ctrl while using the wheel. ANYTHING! MAKE IT HAPPEN #1! MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Hell, id even run in the Ableton Marathon if there was one to bring this into Live!! Ill grab my Nike's now!

Please!! Can it really be that hard to implement?? I mean seriously??? Thats a pretty BASIC feature that MOST audio apps have.. when your in a horizontal clip view, such as arrangement view in Ableton. Hell, even sound forge has that!!!

I beg you! Add it@!

yessssssss.:!:
Zooming with the Scroll Wheel was one of the things I liked the most when I used to use Acid. And out of all the other DAW's that I've fiddled with, none of them ever have that feature_well..Traktion_kind of_has it. ;;
But Live would just be that much more ahead of they're game if they were to include this. Or at the very least, add some kind of key bindings function that utilizes the scroll wheel and alows you to assign it to zooming.
Please Ableton.
Take our word for it.
Add the Zooming with the scroll wheel.

I would say that scroll wheel zoom is good. Why did ableton Live change how it works in version 3 and 4. They were so good functions and now it is stupid. Make no understandings to me

I'd definitely like scroll wheel zoom with a modifier key. Use of the scroll wheel on any control or drop down menu to allow precise movements would also be quite a nice addition.

Wow, this is an old thread. Yes, the lack of scrollwheel zooming in the arrangement view is one of the reasons I still record and edit my more singer/songwriter stuff in Tracktion.

I really don't get how someone could not see this as a major workflow enhancement. You miss the tiny area at the top by some millimeters and the area you're just editing is gone. This has happened to me many times and it's really annoying.

So, yeah, let's keep this thread alive.

Seriously. Why every single audio program available does not have (at least an option to enable) scroll wheel zooming is beyond me. All of the old sonic foundry (sony) products utilized this feature and I got very used to it. Now I only see it in Reaper and thats about it (i saw someone mention Traktion having it too but I havn't tried that prog).
In future versions of Live, Please include a clickable option in Preferences to "Enable Scrollwheel Zooming". Pretty please.

edit: Logic actually has scroll wheel zooming too. But you have to hold "alt and cmd" down when you do it. Only problem is that it's backwards. And typically there's no key command edit or modification for it at all.
God I wish I were a software developer.
