Corrupt Video output in v8 on OSX
Any quicktime format I try and export comes out as a huge file (500mb+) and 23 seconds in length. If I play it in VLC, there's massive audio distortion and the video is garbled. If I play it in quicktime, the audio/video works fine, but again, only 23 seconds.
This is on 10.5.6, quicktime pro 7.6 I believe. I have tried Animation, jpeg, DV, and about 5 other quicktime compression methods... all the same result. Whats the dilly yo!?

I had the same issue with 7. Yet to render anything in 8.
Maybe it's a Live > VLC thingy ? When I ran the vid on a PPC machine using VLC
the distortion inferno was gone...Weird.

Re: Corrupt Video output in v8 on OSX
I had similar shit on Win XP with Live 8.0.1 (may or may not be related???) ... live was outputing video with strange lengths. Definitely not what I was expecting. Anyway, after trashing my prefs, everything was OK (thankyou ableton support!).
As I say, this was on Win XP, and everything was hunky dory with OSX 10.5.6 for me, so I dunno if it is related. Might be worth a try though?

Nah, its a quicktime thing. I can render .mp4 files fine.
I'm re-downloading quicktime now to try a reinstall and see if that works.

Nope, sure didn't fix it.
Well, at least I can output .mp4, I guess that will have to do SAAAD FACE.

This is bad news !
I was hoping that 8 would've fixed this issue.
Sure that it's quicktime ?
Same avi file plays back fine on PPC/wintel
and standalone boxes for me though. It's just
VLC on Intel mac that sends distorted mayhem
thru my monitors.

I tried DivX player and even loaded the .mov into Final Cut express. They showed the .mov video uncorrupted, but still only ever played 23 seconds.
Changing the export setting to mp4 exported fine and plays everywhere.
