sounds, cool and i have holiday, but i am so skint, seriously skint right now... that i might, if at all go to bara broest live (the guys that played that wicked techouse last ALUGB meeting) they have a EP release party with grilling and it's one euro damage before 23h...

sorry it's in german, but hey interesting for only locals anyway...

Cool, well, gigs at Bang Bang Club never cost very much. I expect 10-15 Euro or something like that... And it's only 5 minutes walk from VCF, at Hackescher Markt S-bahn Bogen...

This release has quite a bit going on in it: lots of layers, progressions that alter, many timbres & tones, some unexpected twists & turns, subtle effects, & very strong song-writing/composition with wonderful pop & classical sensibilities.
:)
I only had his first album... :(

very simple and beautiful...
The guy uses more layers than just about any other shoegaze-related producer I've heard. It's definitely beautiful, but I dunno if I would call it simple ;)

Try this reverb if you have reaktor, he talks about using it for that lovely pad sound he gets. Stick it on the endless settings and run whatever sound you like into it for.. well just try it.

Unfortunately I haven't used Reaktor in a long time, but thanks for that tip. Always interesting to get a glimpse behind the scenes. I tend to use the freeze setting on Live's reverb for a similar effect - with some eq and other bits of processing it can render some truly impressive textures.
