dummy clips for Return tracks?
dummy clips for Return tracks?
Is it possible to create dummy clips on return tracks? Well actually I already think I know the answer, which is no.
I want to assign a key on my MIDI keyboard to 'force' a particular delay *time* setting... ie if I press C4 (or whatever key) on my keyboard, I'd like it to make the delay time of a plugin a specific value, such as 3/4 or 1/16, or whatever.
Currently the only thing I can do is map a note to delay time which effectively acts as a cycle, so it keeps cycling through different values... not what I'm looking for.
Any suggestions?
Jon

unfortunately that link doesnt seem to work...
and just to be clear, I'm talking about a Delay effect on a RETURN track, not on an 'audio' track.
Thanks though!

some useful stuff there! But not what I'm after. I want to be able to use dummy clips to control effects that live in my return channels, not on the audio channels... is it possible?

Re: dummy clips for Return tracks?
Could you take your send track and route it to a regular track, then put the effects that were on the send there and make your dummy clips there?

Re: dummy clips for Return tracks?
You cant sorry, sucks but....
You can use pareral effects
same theres no analog routing system like on a neve etc
route your track to the aux,
from the aux use the i/o to send to a new audio buss
on the audio buss have the effect delay...
now use your dummy clip here
