flat screen interferences

hi,
kind of OT but since a little while i have interferences on the second flatscreen connected to my laptop. the image is not stable and hurt my eyes.
the monitor is 2 1/2 yeas old or so...
i already checked cable connections, installed the screen driver (which should actually not be necessary).
is the monitor gone? or is there something else i could try?

Do you have another monitor you can test to determine if it's just the one monitor or the port?

I'm far from techie on this stuff but lately I've been starting to believe that 2 1/2 - 3 years is the shelf life for things computer related...of course with some exceptions. Even m-audio manages to spit out a polished turd from time to time.

nope, no other monitor but i can test with another laptop, will test tonight!
