Strange, i get them posted by a friend. They then have a .bin extension. Even if i manage to rename the extension, they won't work.
Seems he is doing something wrong or there is something seriously wrong with me.

Is your friend sending them to you in an email? If so, check the attachment compression settings on his email client. In Outlook Express, when the mac user attaches a file to an email, there is a drop down selection for compression type. Selection 'any computer' is most ideal for transferring to a PC via email.

Hi,

The e-mail was first, well we also tryed a floppy disc. The results of our test:

If i start a song in Mac OS 9.1 and try to read it in Windblows XP, it will be spit out.
Start a new song in XP and load it on the Mac, no problemo, like heaven.
Editing this song and saving the song and put it back into XP, no problemo again, runs fine.
But saving a copy on Mac and try to feed it to XP, no way, will be spit out very hard.
No it's not a .als extention problem, there is something IN the file that's different.
It's even wors, XP is seeking the floppydrive for 5 minutes, without result.

We'll update OS and application, hope it will give better results.

Well,

Did some more testing on other systems. XP no problem.
Think we just had bad luck witch that spesific release of Windblows XP.
I'm still curious, is this a bug or a feature?
