http://www.amazon.com/Mac-OS-Version-10 ... B000FK88JK

jeez talk about a waste of energy.....and u did not help

anyway i did the test on my 2.56 C2D PC running live 8 demo...and it gave me 45%.
I mean id heard abe 8 performed a bit more efficiently on a pc but this great a difference????
Fix this one abes....soon please.....

fine maybe i was a bit rude...i was just a bit upset having just done the test n all...ive invested alot of money thinking i am getting a high performance mobile setup....
And i am not a thief....as i mentioned in my first post...i WAS using a crack and have never earned a cent from using them. I have now PURCHASED live suite 8 and i also plan on purchasing every other vst or au unit i have used as a crack in the past and have enjoyed as is the pattern now in the digital age...this is the try before you buy era. I would have never been exposed to producing in ableton live nor would i have convinced several other producers into purchasing if i had never gotten hold of the crack...cracks rule

Not bad for similar results

Curious though, since my specs outperform yours

Do you use sp2 for a particular reason?

when I look at results, there are two things, which seem to be wrong with this test and maybe with Live.

1. 4-core systems have the same or better results than 8-core
2. about 20% CPU load on 4 or 8 cores with this easy test - some samples and 16 reverbs is definitely TOO MUCH!!!

Ableton Live CPU Meter: 61%
Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model: Macbook Air, 2.13 ghz
OS: Mac OS 10.5.7
Ableton Live: 8.03
intel 2.13 ghz core 2 duo
Ram: 2 gb
Soundcard: internal
Harddisk: 128 gb SSD
Number of playback tracks 6

Tried with 8 tracks - had a steady 71-75% cpu usage, but with occasional spikes in the "above 100%" range
