Live finally recording NRPN?? (L8.0.4)

So I was twiddling away on my Mopho just now, and when playing back the clip, I noticed that the knob changes where actually recorded.. not only that, when I look at the envelope box in the clip, it shows NRPN data recorded... I could have sworn this hasn´t been able to work previously! anyone else got any comments on this? This kicks ass!

Sorry to ask... but what benefit we could have from that?
I admit being ignorant on NRPN usage although I should know what they are

It just better resolution. It avoids audible jumps in a parameter. For example, imagine you are controlling the frequency range from 20hz to 20000hz of an oscillator with a cc, you will hear the jumps.

live DOES NOT record properly the NRPN, it just records the cc 98(IIRG) which is the value, it totally disregard the 2 CC that set the NRPN parameter number, the same way it discards SYSEX in any mode and totally bullshit program changes in remote mode, for a "pro" app in 2011, it's totally nuts, cubase 3 was doing fine with both NRPN and SYSEX in 1997
