+1 for Genelec...

ps. Doesn't the bass guitar next to the monitor resonate a lot? I always put my guitars in the hallway when I'm mixing! And these are not even that close to my monitors...

I own a pair of KRK RP8 G2's and am well happy with them. They seem just about the same size as yours, if a little bit bigger:

I normally 'ready' the space for serious mixing and write I there too so like to have everything close to hand. (There is in fact a strat on the other wall just out of shot!)

I've got my eye on the 11x11 foot conservatory at the back of the house tho not sure how easy it is to acoustically treat a greenhouse...

A mate in our drawing office has been bigging up his Tapco S5 's too...

Reckons they had the edge on a set of KRK's when he tested them in store.

I can see the choices ramping up now.

decisions, decisions..... :?:

I A/B'd with the Genelec 8020 and the KRK VXT 4.

While the Genelecs are incredible in the low ends with that size I still went for the KRK's which for my taste are clearer in high frequencies.

Still liking them and never looked back.

Just noticed these on DV247.

And a review on SOS

If I had the money spare I'd buy them myself but I'm broke :( .

I use NHT M00's and it's the best small monitor I've ever owned. you do have to hook up a sub to get the best out of it, but it speaks the truth. They are marketed as hi-end computer speakers, but alot of people have discovered them and started using them in studios... NHT doesn't get much recognition cuz you can't buy them every where and they are a small company so they don't have the advertising power like the other big boys.. you get more bang for your buck in comparison to Adam A5's or genelec 8020..
