the thing that bothers me most about your hihats is that they sound like they're not from the same 'kit'. Even though the sounds in a drum kit are very different from each other, they do complement each other, your hihats don't at all.

get new sounds, make them on operator, sample them, do whatever you need to do to make then 'talk' with each other and the rest of the drum kit.

as the antagonist it's you against the world, right? when you first signed on I completely thought it was a troll name, soooooo wrong. ;)

the new hats remind me of gas escaping into space making the track sound more sci fi. it's a smoother sound than the first take you put up.

i think that sounds much better.. at least to my ears it does! i would like to hear it layered with a closed hat to get a little bit of a click on it. or if you've adjusted the attack on that sample, maybe bring the attack time down just a little.

but have you tried putting a sidechained AutoFilter on the hat track - sidechained to the kick or other percussion?
 Perhaps you should listen to the track.
HAHAHAHAHAHA critiquing audio you haven't heard. Brilliant.
