yes I got no response

conny receives one but he sended a video (If I remember good) and ableton answers that they will correct it ... but I dont know if they really got this bug ...

I paid for Ableton not for getting the soft (as there is other way) but for getting support and I have no support at all

not feeling so happy ... but I hope it is because they are a small company and have to deal with lot of demands ...

:?

Hi pulse,

sorry for the delayed answer. We needed time to investigate this problem a bit more. What I can reproduce is this:

1. Activate the Session View in Live
2. Move an audio file to any slot in any audio track (The audio clip should have at least a physical length of 30 seconds. It happens with clips of each length but it is easier to see for longer clips)
3. Double click the global transport stop button to be sure that the song position is 1.1.1
4. Be sure that in the clip properties "Warp" is on.
5. Double-click the clip to see its waveform
6. Fire the clip and watch its waveform view. There you see the play marker moving from the beginning of the clip. So far everything is ok.
7. After 5 seconds, stop the clip using any stop button in the track, but NOT the transport stop button. Then the clip is stopped but the song continues to play. So far so good.
8. Wait again 5 seconds and then fire the clip again and watch again its waveform view. You should see again the play marker moving from the beginning of the track.

9. Now the bug comes into :). Move the playing clip to any other scene in this track and you can see how the play marker in the clip's waveform view jumps forward.

Depending on the length of the clip and if "loop" is on or off, the clip looks like playing but it is not. This bug seems to be in all Live 4 versions.
As we can reproduce it now we should be able to fix it.

thanks and regards,
Alex

and to add

about the bug No1 ... same way of acting (moving clips) but the bug made the clip stop

should be the same as I dont make the songs in loop but one shot so it get till the end and stops ...

so it should be the same bug ...

Yes, I think it is the same bug. Probably if the play marker "jumps" over the clip end.
So I was right about the fact you have lot of work !
Yeah, that is probably never wrong :)

Hello,
I think I´ve found another bug quite some time ago in all Live 4 versions:

A drag a whole warped track into a slot.

Then fire the clip with the mouse,

Then move the clip to an other slot on the same track

The playmarker jumps to somewhere in the waveform, but the sound stays,

Move the clip another time

The sound jumps to the forwarded (wrong) position of the playmarker

After you stopped the session with the global stop button and retrigger it it´s behaviour is ok, but not when you stop only the clip with the track stop button

This happened already sometimes on a Live gig and is very anoying

Perhaps it´s the same bug?

Greetings

Steve

yes as you explain it seems to be the same prob ...

endly I am not the only one who moves clips during live gigs !!!

thanks to add your exp in this thread !

I worked a lot with 3.04 cause I didnt need midi (even I had bought 4) but now that I begin to implement new concepts with midi I begin to use seriously 4.1 and find this very annoying bug ...

hope they will correct it for the next release !

Yes, I reported this some times already, but seems to be hard to fix it?
Now that they have more possibilities to reproduce it they can fix it perhaps.

Hopeing

Hello ableton support,
just wanted to know if you can reproduce my bug and if it´s perhaps related to the same problem?

Oh, seems we have it nailed down at last, then.
Hope soon we can have a last post here saying OK, now the bug is gone.
