Better way to keep audio tails???

Post by danabus » Wed Aug 19, 2009 3:21 pm

When changing audio clips the tails (reverb, delay, etc) get cut abrubtly...
I've done some searching and realized I can put these effects on a return track and the tails will play but I don't like the idea of having a bunch of return tracks with different effects / complex routing and what not - I would rather do this on each track. Is there a better way?

:? If you have a reverb or delay on an individual track, triggering another clip in the same track shouldn't cut off the tail of the effect. Even if you stop the clip in a particular track and start a clip in another track, the tail of the effect shouldn't be cut short, unless you are automating the tracks volume or manipulating it manually when changing clips.

Is this happening with all reverbs and delays on a track, or with a particular effect or combination of effects?
