Midi Mapping- Is there a way to group clips together?

Post by angrymonkey2 » Tue Sep 01, 2009 5:42 pm

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to group a few clips together when MIDI mapping so that I can trigger certain clips by hitting one pad on my midi controller. ???

put them into the same scene and assign the controller to the scene.

You can also manually MIDI map a single pad to multiple triggers. Just assign the clip start for all of them to the same MIDI signal.

one more way is to group the midi tracks and map the "mini-scene" i'd guess you'd call it. the Play button on the group itself.
If memory serves (I'm at work) , it'll trigger all the clips on the line.

Aces way is good if you don't want to top any other clips in the group. I use it to start whole songs that are in stems...

if you don't want to stop other clips hit ctrl-e or right click and 'remove stop button' for those clips.
