What should be on maxforlive.com?

So, looks like I got in the latest round of beta testing for Max For Live!!

I think it's time to revisit what to do with maxforlive.com. Looking for feedback on what everyone thinks is the best use for this domain. I can see challanges with each of these but what do YOU think?

How about a M4L blog, where people can submit news about M4L device releases (commercial and free), stuff that people is doing with M4L and such. Something similar to CDM blogs, but on narrowing the topic down a lot.

There should be an option for "all of the above" - that would get my vote. Also news page with email notifications and/or RSS feed.

It would be good to see some max users who aren't necessarily Live users get involved. Id it is just us there won't be enough examples i fear.

Maybe tutorials? I'm coming out of left field on this one, so anything on the beginners level to get me understanding the basics would be great. I like the blog idea well.

Looks like I was able to get on the beta as well, so now I just have to find time to try and learn this. Man, I wish you could buy time, there just isn't enough of it these days.

Hah. I hadn't seen that. Mine is "maxforlive.com" not the number 4.

Looks like most people are intestrested in the patch sharing concept.

Usually (like on the cycling74 forums) Max patches are shared in plain text. You'd just paste the text version of a max patch in a post. The recipient just creates a new empty patch and pastes it in and saves it.

For Max For Live, I'd want to be able to share it not as a max patch, but as an ableton device so the knob/button states are saved with the thing you share.

I'd imagine then what we'll be sharing are the .adv files instead. Can anyone else with the beta confirm this? If you send me a max for live device by its .adv file in the library I can make sure i can open and edit the device.

Actually the more I look into this the more it seems we'll need to trade 2 files. The ableton preset, and the max patch. I was hoping there would be a way to export them as something that can be imported easily as one file containing both but I don't see that there is.
