Live/Reason Rewire problems

Post by spastic » Fri Feb 11, 2005 12:00 am

Sorry if this is idiotic, but I am new.

I want to make Reason the slave in live, but it isn't on the pull-down menu. When I first installed them, I opened reason first, which has probably screwed up my rewire setting. Is there any way to reset them?

Thanks

In order to make Reason the slave using REWIRE in Live 4:

1. Open Live 4 - wait until it initializes and scans, etc...

2. Then once Live 4 is completely and fully loaded, open Reason and you are done.

3. Look for Reason among the audio and the midi to channels.

Good luck!

Yeah, it doesn't do that. Reason never appears in the channels.

Easiest thing to do is to do a search for ReWire.dlls on your machine.
Delete ALL of them that appear. Now, run your Reason installer again.
It'll put the correct ReWire.dll in the correct location- all the installer will do in this case is replace missing files. Then start up Live. After it's through initializing and completely open, start up Reason.
