LIVE LE 7 error: "only audio effects can be placed..."

Hi,
I have LIVE LE 7.
If I drag&drop a audio effect (or a instruments also) in audio track, the error is:
only audio effects can be placed in tracks
The same error if I try to drag&drop a MIDI effect in a MIDI track:
only audio effects can be placed in tracks

What I don't understand?

I'm happy.
Reinstalling "from scratch"... the problem is resolved.

Uninstalling from scratch:
-Uninstall
-Delete the Library folder (in fact the whole 'Ableton' folder) - please make sure you have not stored any personal projects inside this folder.
-Remove the preferences.cfg file which can be found here:
Mac OSX: /user/library/preferences/ableton/live x.x/preferences.cfg
WinXP: C:/documents and settings/[username]/application data/ableton/live x.x/preferences/preferences.cfg
(or C:/documents and settings/[username]/appdata/roaming/ableton/live x.x/preferences/preferences.cfg)
