I didn't attend this time, so just out of interest: How many times did Live crash during the ALUGB?

Cheers,
Dom

For me Live went like "on rails" even with that new sound card (I used a Virus TI before, this time had a Terratec Phase 26).
I just wasn't really content with my performance after all, but that's definitely not Live's fault.
The software gave everything to its best and ran in a rock-solid fashion.

stay tuned

No glitches here either. Generally I only get crashes when I´m doing some more complex stuff, lots of vsts, etc. .

If it works for depeche mode... As long as you´re not doing really complex stuff live, there are no worries I guess.

dear ableton live user group participators,

i would like to sepnd a few words to clariefy the soul and purpose of the ableton live user group berlin meetings [ALUGB], because lately i come across a lot of missunderstanding.

the purpose of the ALUGB meetings is to create a platform for music enthusiasts and lovers from all angles of musical taste that share the use or future wish of using mainly but not necessarily exclusive Ableton Live for creation, production, DJ-ing or any other audio related process.

the meetings live from the fact that we, the music loving users get together in a physical space, face to face... it is about meeting each other and connecting each other, exchanging, tips, tricks, problems and any music and music community related aspect, form the very beginner to the profi.

the 'open stage' policy we continuously provide, came from the inital idea, that we all create in the one or other form 'homegrown' music and can provide that music as our own 'background' during the meetings, furthermore giving especially musicians without great experience or none the chance to perform and receive feedback and the possibility to discuss and explore, etc. the aspects of a live performance, DJ-set.

it is NOT a party or entertainment event as such, even we do always have and love to have a lot of fun.
also we do receive great support from ableton itself and i try to get some presentations and 'workshops' going... it is not an ableton event, we are 100% independend.

the ALUGB lives through you and your active contribution to meet and talk to each other. it is not about you being entertained,
you are being asked to be an active part of the 'entertainment' and meeting each other.

axel junkuhn

p.s. anyone! (beginner or not) who wants to perform, please send me an e-mail upfront (a few days in advance) to [email protected]
(with a few details, how long? what mood of music?, fast /slow), that makes an even flow of the open stage much easier, thank you very much!

and i am looking forward, to meet you and new faces again!

and details follow very soon, date fixed, so don't forget to scribble it already into your diary! :D

wednesday the 7th of october, 19h in Berlin, Kreuzberg.

Hey folks,
If you like house/techno and free parties then come on down to
Morlox club, Haase Str 13,Friedrichshain, Berlin.
(Actually behind lovelite)

We're throwing a party for party's sake in this great little venue.

On the wheels of steel will be my good friends (and top dj's) from England who will be flying in for the weekend.

S9 (Manchester,UK)
Aleator and Mate (Belrin)
Tom & Tom (Manchester,UK)

So they're not famous but I can guarantee good music, mixing and times.
The Brits like to party!

Saturday 26th Sep. 23.00

Entry is free, beer is cheap.

Hope you all can make it.
Casio keyboard with 48k ZX Spectrum, a couple of tambourines and a triangle.

- Wednesday (16th) @ Tacheles
- Thursday (17th) @ Smoking Cinema

guitar-Laptop Ableton-various stuffs...

hope to see some of you there, I'm happy to come back in your country and city !

I'll post a flyer later !
