No Multiple Outputs in Ableton LIVE VSTS!!!! such as BFD

Post by parable66 » Mon Feb 21, 2005 4:50 am

Hi, i just posted a thing in the wish list section about wanting multiple outputs in ableton for vst instruments. I wish there was a way to be able to eq each individual drum in ableton rather than going over to pro tools to have to do this after the song is completely finished. I noticed you could send any audio from any given track to multiple Inputs of a vst, (such as in REaktor 4). Which is great, but i wish it would work the other way around. Any ideas when this might be able to happen? You should definately consider in the next update for ableton live.
One more question for yuh..... in Live 4.1, why does the simpler only have 2 waves in the menu? is it possible to load different waves into the preset menu?
Thanks for the help and suppoert,
RG

You can use multiple outputs from vstis, altough it appears BFD may have some specific issues, use forum search and ye shall find. In general though, set up your vsti's outputs to taste in ie using Battery's stereo pairs 1+2, 3+4. In an audio track select the instrument's channel as the audio in and then in the box immediately below that (defaults to 'Track Out') select the Battery output channels of your choice.
