I get reliable crashes with the following patch, an additive synth. Usually it crashes when I save it from Max. But I also had a crash just opening it from Live into Max...
The synth is working without hickups in Max with more than 8 voices (the original Maxpatch would show about 20% DSP). If its just loaded into Live, I can play it, but after 3 voices the DSP is going beyond 50% or 60% and the sound is crackling. You should have received plenty of crash logs...

there are tons of missing abstractions. If you could freeze the device, that would help.

How do I freeze a device? The documentation reveals 0 results...
This is probably also necessary if I want to share a device...

The whole search paths for a device in Live isn't clear for me, does Live use the Max 5.1 search path? Or are there some extra places Live will search?

I hope it is complete, as of course Live crashed while I saved it...

I have another problem now, all these crashes seem to eat my diskspace. I got a warning from OS X about it, it showed remaining 16 MB! A restart brought back about 750 MB, but that is still more than a GB less than I had before. The only thing I was doing was patching. Where could that huge amount of diskspace be gone?...?

Hi,

regarding disk space: you could check if the folder

~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Bug Reporting/

got very large for some reason. If this is the case you can delete
the Live Run* folders inside.

Ben tried to get this patch to crash, and was unable to do so no matter what he did. If possible, could you provide a step-by-step walk-through of a crash for us?

With the new build its worse. The steps to reproduce for me, open the synth in Max, dirty it somehow (unfreeze move an object), save. 100% crash of Live...
Its worse, because in the old build it would at least sound as expected, now its completely distorted like a 200% overload of the CPU...
