Ok which Alien species is abducting Keyboardist and why?

Has anyone else noticed a disturbing lack of keyboardist and synth players? I have been looking for one for a few months now (I'm in Scotland) and they all appear to have fallen into Narnia!
If you go and look at places like the join my band website, every 2nd advert is someone looking for a keyboard player and if one actually appears, it descends in to a Virtual knife fight. I can't be the only one left can I?

So own up..who's got them all..?

I wonder if Charlie Clouser is free or has he been stolen as well?

is it a local Problem or is it like that were you are ?

yeah drummers are pretty high up on that list too! If I wanted a band filled with bassists or guitarists I would be sorted!
Good Drummers are really hard to find.

But So far there seem to be about 3 keyboardists in Scotland and I'm one of them lol.

Try finding a drummer in NYC, I dare you.

I would think with the amount of people you have there, trying to find a good drummer, who's not already in a band would be hell'ish.

That and the fact that no one has an apartment big enough for a drum set, nor could they practice at home (noise + thin walls) = biggest obstacle to having a full band.

From what I understand, drummers either pay to practice at rehearsal spaces or just use a drum pad type of thing.

I think we have the other problem here, lack of a population compared to.. lets say london. Any good Musican is snapped up pretty quick, any good drummer I know is in about three bands. Any good keyboardist is in a signed band. Oh you also have the people who answer the advert because they own a keyboard..those are my fav E-mails..oh you have your own gear? oh it's a school keyboard .ohhh with in built speakers..yeah sure I'll call you back..pfft!

To be fair, I do give everyone a try out but never has one of those people had anywhere near the kind of skill level, you actually need to play infront of people. it's so hard to find a nice way to say..em sorry you suck, please leave.

Edit~ I should point out that the two who tried out, were Really bad..Monty python bad..and I was really nice to them!

i would imagine its hell....i cant imagine paying for rehearsal after playing in basements for so long
but

where are the creative electronic drummers running ableton live on a midi drum kit??

they buy those modules and go "welp...no use in putting anything original on there eh?"
