Quantizing or follow actions for solo buttons?
Quantizing or follow actions for solo buttons?
I all couldn't locate an answer by searching the forums, so is there a way to solo using a follow action or are you able to quantiZe the action?

Re: Quantizing or follow actions for solo buttons?
If you are using a Session clip setup, then why not arrange the adjacent clips in the scene before the one you want a solo'ed track in, with clips consisting of nothing but empty clips not doing anything but recieveing the follow action from the tracks in the scene above.
or better yet, to my tired brain to think of first, just launch the scene with the particular clip you want solo'ed as the only one there?
Any solution to your problem in this?

Technically yes. Thank you.
Re: Quantizing or follow actions for solo buttons?
You could make MIDI clips for each solo button, route the MIDI out of Live and back in (using MidiYoke or IAC bus), and use Midi mapping to map the output of each MIDI clip to a solo button. Be sure to turn on Remote for the MidiYoke or IAC bus in Preferences. You can now use the follow actions of the MIDI clips to do what you are wanting, or make soloing sequences.
