No, on the overview PDF on the Akai site, it says it works with all MIDI-capable programs.

But to use it fully with Live, they mentioned that a patch is needed. Just a guess that the patch will be for L7 too.

I'm totally, totally, speechless and clearly need to sell everything I own except my macbook and soundcard.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!

This is AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

Everything I've been hearing people bitch about on here for years - fixed...
Plus unbelievably great, fun, udeful, innovative new ideas.

Ive been watching the videos and flipping back and forth between welling up, and screaming uncontrollably loud and long.

ok. my jaw just fell... I look at my Live v1.5 green box (and the others) and think of all the incredible amount of work you must have put into it to get to live 8... thank you so much for that!!!

God ! That's so good...
Live 8 is on starters today. I hope it will be released soon.
BUT... Still not OSC system included in it (and why not ?) and it's pretty hard to buy an update for at least 150 € ! I hope that MAX 5 is included in it...
Any calendar informations about releases, especially for live 8 & AKAI APC40 ???

I'll go stealing a bank or a rich person, to be one of the future Ace of Live 8 !
Cheers guys...

curious about the serato joint, so far from the add video of 8, i say Traktor still wins in the pure DJ section. nothing really changed for DJ-ing so far, except the better warping maybe which has to be heard first...

otherwise looks like a worthy update. and ohhh, i like it to be ROCK SOLID from the beginning... better releasing it in the late summer or whatever then having some falling apart late beta and having scream attacks and nervous breakdowns all the time...

I think this...
Browser waveform display: Audio and MIDI browser preview now with waveform display and scrubbing for more informed browsing and file selection.
...will be very handy for DJing. It did cause me to think about whether I'll keep using Traktor...
