You two should get a room!!!

Seriously, I'd love to see a score editor in Live, and believe Ableton would make a great job of it.

Even if some folks on the Forum don't appreciate what Notation could do for Live, I certainly expect Ableton to look into the possibilities.

I really don't want to go to Logic, and will wait for as long as I can put up with the faff of Sibelius / Live, but it's doing my head in already.

'Notation for Live' anyone?

Notation? Maybe. But as long they're priorities remain:

1st most innovative tool for performance
2nd most innovative tool for production (this, then again, might include the necessity of notation)

I don't mind Live being not so complete linear DAW as long as those two are taken care in regards of quality and innovation.

So, notation, would be nice but there is already Sibelius.

I for one would love for a notation feature in Live, combined with the other features in ableton it would really help my compositions/productions. And I would prefer an integrated notation editor rather than spending a hell of a lot of money (£450) for sibelius which would be somewhat more than what I'd need. I think that as there are others out there similar to myself, Ableton should seriously consider this!

every time I try and use a notation editor in a daw (i've used them in pro tools, logic, and digital performer) I've wanted to claw my eyes out. They only seem to bloat the daw and cause more problems. Sibelius is an amazing program and notating in sibelius and exporting midi tracks to live would be FAR easier than anything else ableton can come up with.

please don't add this and bloat live. If you want a notation editor, get a notation editor.

Use Finale.

use finale like a piano roll in Live? I would just want notation to edit and punch in notes as well as look at the notation while recording other parts IN Live. not necessarily for printing scores.
