This isn’t accessible via the API unfortunately. It is available via menu selection though and that is something that I do plan on looking into in the future.Could you please add the possiblity to (de)activate external midi sync?
Great idea, that could be very interesting. I’m not sure how feasible it would be, but I’ll look into this.i was wondering, are there a possibility of applying rulesets by any chance?
things such as if then else statements etc?
I’d like to add the ability to work with keystrokes and menu items, but haven’t found a way to do it yet. I haven’t given up on it yet though, it’s just going to take some time to sort out.and/or qwerty keyboardshortut emulations?
I sincerely appreciate the offer, but using ClyphX and (if possible) spreading the word about it is a more than adequate payback.oh and yeah, ill make sure to throw some money in your way as soon as i can afford it, because this is just fantastic!
I think you have to give Ableton credit for putting the framework in place to allow for this sort of functionality. The fact that it can be used in ways that they didn’t anticipate is a good thing, it’s a robust framework. I think it would be difficult to both develop that framework and then exploit it in every conceivable way. When people create things like this that extend the use of a product so much, it just makes me wonder, if (as they clearly are) these features are possible, how and why they are not implemented in the first place? You'd think that the Ableton programmers/writers would know the program better than anyone, yet things like this imply that they don't know jack.
No offense taken and I wouldn’t call you paranoid, just responsible. However, the framework that ClyphX utilizes to do what it does is fully supported (necessary for M4L and documented here). In fact, ClyphX wouldn’t be possible without that support. If Ableton were to change/remove this in future versions of Live, it would break LOTS of things including M4L and existing control surface functionality. I wouldn’t say this couldn’t happen, but it’s highly unlikely.Really no offense, metastasik, but i'll not gonna take the habit to use CliphX on stage if it's not official and supported. Unless i come to the point that i can rely on myself for solving eventual problems, or if it is no more supported by future versions of live. Call me paranoid i don't care.
Also, there has been only one reported issue with ClyphX (with the initial version) and that was fixed within hours.
