hmmmm.
Garnier it´s not the first top range artist who cancelled u.s. activity because this big brother polictics,, der dritte raum, villalobos and some others have this same problems in u.s. embassy across north europe and they have cancelled gigs because of this,,
and this go far beyond electronic music /artists
it's the u.s. fucked up?? we can´t say that all u.s. folks are, they are some really good artists and performers in all areas on art... but indeed their polictics are driving this nation straight into a neo facism way to control using terrorism as an excuse..
so..it´s the world a more safer place now that bush it´s going on again?? or he is taking the world into jeopardy??
opps..talking about polictics now..he..this is an forum for ableton, electronic music and related issues..
Could anyone direct me to a non-fucked-up country ?
I am really curious.
I am in UK, a marvelous place - bowler hats and red buses, green hills and polite butlers serving cups of tea interspersed with occasional endearing villainy.
or was that; drug wracked, ultra-violent, arms dealing, warmongering rainy oppressive hell hole? I always get the two confused
I have a list of all the countries which are fucked here
please cross yours off.

I have to say he is being bitchy and the US does have shitty visa policies. I'm going through it now with my wife. It's not easy, he seems to be lazy about it. Also the artist egoist approach just makes him look like a pompous twat. And on the other hand the US is losing out in the humanities because artists or whatever find it difficult to go to the states. Both look bad.
I can't balme the US for making their policies tough with the terrorism and the US's policy in the Middle East which has been pretty much fuling the terrorists' fire. What I mean is that terrorism will most likely happen now so I don't see the policy changing.
Korea made their policy tough in response to the US change. I almost got deported, I had to spend an expensive week in Japan as a result waiting for my visa to reenter Korea. But the visa policy is always inequal in general.
The policy is often racist. Asians have a harder time getting a visa than Europeans for example. US has a long way to go until it can tell anyone about equality or freedom.

I doubt there's a place, but the US is getting rather scarry, in a fascist sort of way. The merging of religion, government, and business is really scarry. The safety net for the poor and elderly is being cut away, there's a war based on false pretenses and more likely to come, the Project for a New American Century has laid out an agenda that definitely sounds fascist to me. And those guys are in power now.Angstrom wrote:Could anyone direct me to a non-fucked-up country ?
Let's see some evidence with your accusations! The poor and elderly are better off now than ever before in the US. There are fewer poor, yes I know numbers can be manipulated to say anything. The elderly are retiring richer thatn any time in history. My 80+ year old grandparents have been retired since 1978, travelling the circum. of the planet to celebrate their 80th birthdays. I really don't get the hysteria over a president. I guess I should have expected it. I saw it with the militia types when Clinton was prez. Both groups have over-reacted. THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA DOESN'T HAVE THAT MUCH POWER. Franckly the only difference between Bush and Clinton on my personal life is I can now afford to take a vacation, using my "whopping" tax break, that I got because I'm rich. ( I make about $20,000 annualy) Sorry, just not falling for the hype.braj wrote:I doubt there's a place, but the US is getting rather scarry, in a fascist sort of way. It seems that 69% find homosexual neighbours undesirable. Not that 69% are homosexuals... 69% of them are homophobes.
We should send our terminator governor to work over there, he has this thing about the phrase "girlie men" he uses all the time. Why he thinks about girlie men
, what is it in the back of his mind to compose that association and mix it in his speech
? He was also pregnant in one movie
