Hi Andy,
One question. Still have problems with missing samples in presets. Did you guys work on that?
I know i downloaded the soundbanks in a correct way.(several times)
everytime when you hit a preset which misses a sample you get "cannot find file" and then you have to click three times to go to the next preset which is annoying.
Also "browse file or folder does not work because there are way to many samples...."autofind" sample would be welcome.
As a workaround i give all the missing sample presets a low rating and put them last in the row of presets so i don,t have to skip them.

All of the presets + samples from our site are 100% complete - there are no missing files if everything is installed correctly.
See this page of our FAQ section for more details:
http://bit.ly/PPXBFy
Try downloading Factory samples file #3 first as it's only 20 MB and a common cause of missing files. Also check the other Factory file sizes against the list on the above page. Download any that are the wrong size.
If that doesn't fix the problem post details of a few missing files (2 or 3) and I can identify which file you need to fix it. I'll back back later today to answer any questions.
Peace,
Andy.

hi Andy,
Thanks for the answers and support.
i scanned all the 2000+ presets.
the good new is that in the factory soundbank there is only missing one preset/sample: cavedrumkits/cavedrum perc 4
But after scanning all the presets it,s now clear that all the missing samples are in soundlibraries i didn,t bought. These soundlibraries are visible in the list off soundlibraries and contain only 5 presets.
Why are these presets there and is there a way to delete them and only show the libraries i own?
I know i can only highlight the soundlibraries i own but now you have to do that everytime when you load a new alchemy.

Not sure why that would be missing, those files have been included since Alchemy 1.0. Strange!
But after scanning all the presets it,s now clear that all the missing samples are in soundlibraries i didn,t bought. These soundlibraries are visible in the list off soundlibraries and contain only 5 presets.
This is caused by our "Taste of Camel" sound lib which contains 5 presets from the sound libraries we've released to date (except Light Space, as it was released after Toc).
The solution is easy: download the Taste of Camel samples from your user account.
Why are these presets there and is there a way to delete them and only show the libraries i own?
If you don't want the free presets yes you can just delete the folders in Alchemy/Presets for sound libs you haven't actually purchased but if you solve the problem by installing the ToC samples the problem will go away and you'll have some new presets to play with
Peace,
Andy.

Thanks again Andy for the support.
I downloaded "taste off camel" and the problems are gone!
for the rest i copied cavedrum perc3 and renamed it to perc4
And next time i shall report a problem on the camel audio website in the support section;)
Cheers, Jamm

Which version of Alchemy are you running?
I think the content that ships with Live is copy protected, so the loops cannot be used with other samplers. Not sure how this affects new loops created using the copy protected content but I would have though that would load in to Alchemy OK.
Can you open the WAVs using a normal audio editor? What specific WAV format are the file in? Bit depth and Khz?
Peace,
Andy.

Hi Zen
thanks for your reply, I was having the same problem loading the same files into granulator.
Turned out it was the file name was too long, worked fine on both synths once I'd shortened it

Galbanum Waveforms, available in Alchemy format is on
sale until the end of the month. An effective way to add more wavetables sources.

But only for "Customers who have previously purchased any version of the Galbanum Architecture Waveforms". Waste of time really.

it states: "DISCOUNTS AND CROSSGRADES". a bit unclear, some people
failed while others succeeded. Just want to share the info.

Aha. Dont use the code from the link. I did a google search for 'galbanum waveforms discount code' and one of the links gave a 50% discount code. Dont use Paypal though as that seems to pump the price back up to full.

Just got Granite, what a cool little synth. Very effective CPU and editing, with impressive result. A nice addition to Alchemy, almost like Simpler and Sampler for the granular part.
