Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
I hope "Push" isn't the new Ableton "Share" that sold me on Live 8.

Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
I ordered Push on release day (3/5) and got 2-4 weeks, now on my account page it says 1-2 weeks. Nice!
Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
I pre-ordered Push back in January from Guitar Center. After reading all of the impatient pissed off posts in here, I called Guitar Center to find out what they know.
Guitar Center dude told me that they are expecting a shipment on the 18th of this month. Shipments to those who pre-ordered (like me) will go out a few days later. So it looks like the end of the month I guess... I hope.

Thats good to know, tried to pry the info out of music123 but they just said it was still scheduled to ship on the 25th. Since GC owns music123 hopefully that means their pre-orders are still on schedule as wellommmboy wrote:I pre-ordered Push back in January from Guitar Center. Yes, you can see it on your account page once you've pre-ordered the device:djcyph wrote:are you guys seeing this 1-2 weeks or whatever your estimate is on your account details? i cant see anything there.

They should show that they're really smart and should finally come down from their NI-throne, throwing a multi(software)-compatible controller on the market.
Machine is simply shit for my Ableton-needs.
I don’t get this. NI was primarily a software company that later started releasing hardware specifically for their software that can also function as a general MIDI controller (which is a bonus). Instead of getting mad at NI for not just releasing general MIDI controllers, why don’t you get mad at manufactures of mostly just MIDI controllers that don’t make anything you find really useful for today’s software.
NI does quite well for their users. They don’t need to be blamed for other company’s shortcomings in an area that isn’t their primary focus.

At least they provide templates for Live and seeing various videos and tutorials, people seem to do amazing things with it and manage to integrate maschine into live very well.
Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
Maschine is more flexible for third party midi control than possibly any other controller.
Clearly he is missing something in his understanding haha.
Only limitation is hardware control sans computer.

Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
Anyone know what service will Ableton use to ship Push? I will be on Cyprus when it ships, and I ordered it there, and god, that island has terrible mail service. So I wonder will they be using regular post office or something more fancy like UPS?
Re: June 25th !!!!!!!
You guys got me wrong. I'm not blaming NI for not covering Abletonian's mistakes or for not having manufactured good MIDI-Controllers, as machine or X1 for instance.Guillermo Barrancos wrote:I don't understand the hate either. /shrugbeats me wrote:pro.tone wrote:NI has really great Software and sounds, but their hardware is only built to satisfy NI-heads' needs.

(Besides: Some say machine is the most flexible MIDI-Controller, to me it's the APC40; only opinions.)
I just can't get why the successfull and wealthy NI-dudes miss the oportunity to manufacture a controller which could finallly also be interesting for, for example, Ableton users....it's all NI-customized-gear and with a "I'm-not-satisfied-100%,-but-well-it's-ok"-workaround you're able to use it in other DAWs or mixing-software.....nice.., like the possiblity to control Traktor with the APC.., but why?
NI made the step from a software company to a hardware-producing company quite a while ago...why not from a "hardware-for-our-software"- to a "bomb-hardware"-producing company?
Inventing F1 with the Traktor 2.5 clip-features shows clearly that they have been inspired by...hm, Live. Thats for sure; remember the NI-words at the F1-presentation NAMM last year?...
Launchpad, Livid-stuff, the F1, all the cute IOS-Software and several others controllers....all aimed to LIVE-users. Everybody knows that Bitwig is going to be a LIVE-clone in a way and is already attracting a lot of people....another reason to built a decent clip-orientaded, touch-sensitive, min 64pads-, (fader- and) knobs-offering tool which fits in a bag...could also be a bigger bag (The S2, S4, VCI-400, APC40 are huge comparing to PUSH, and are nevertheless taken to gigs), could also cost more...S4/VCI-400 800,-, ...people would pay the same for a all-in-one controller, for sure. Behringer and Steinberg made a small step forward with their modules(-idea), but...never released or simply too small.
Again: To be able to see this oportunity to make a lot of money (that's what companies are interested in, don't they? It's their "primary focus".), NI first has to come down from it's NI-throne.
Some users over here said NI shouldn't be blamed...ok, right, well then Novation will go for it or Ableton next year...that's the market...no hate.

In my humble opinion all this mixing, producing, live perfoming will end up in controllerism with a clip-based software, because the producer/dj of tomorrow will mostly not be educated musically like piano-playing composers of the 18th century, initially knowing how to set up an arrangement. DJ and Producer/Composer were two persons in the past, now they're becoming one person. The amount of people interested in just doing the simple "2/4-decks-other-peoples-finished-track-"mixing is already slowly vanishing. So why use/learn two programs for my ambitions (producing,live-act,dj-ing)? Besides: Deck-track-mixing including the usage of some effects can already be done with several softwares, which are getting closer and closer to Traktor.

In short, no a successful company’s focus isn’t just to make money hand over fist. That’s the focus of banks and the stock market. NI doing what it does well and focusing on hardware for their software doesn’t mean they are up on some kind of arrogant “throne”. I’m sure they are perfectly fine with the Novations and M-Audios of the world putting out general MIDI controllers (and dealing with all the issues of countless music software developers) and don’t see it as some kind of missed opportunity they fumbled.
They want you to use their software and in a lot of ways their software and hardware combos are saying you don’t even need to use Live. I’m sure if you walked into NI HQ and said you are a Live user they could show you how you could do everything with their software and hardware. I think it’s a user mental hurdle that they can’t believe they can do everything they want to do without some big name DAW helming it all.
