I'd like to be able to deactivate individual clips from the scene launcher. Right click the clip and deactivate it through the menu. This would allow me to set up some clips like drum pads or effects changes somewhere convenient without nesting them somewhere using the disable-stop button.

I'd also like to see clips enabled in the return tracks to control parameter settings. There's a work around routing sends back to a channel, but that just gets cumbersome.

More return tracks... at least 64. That's overkill, but it creates more possibilities. Let me choose which send knobs I want to populate in my audio and MIDI tracks.

Effects sends/returns in ALL racks, (instrument and effects), not just drum racks.

Oh, and the BIGGY.

A PUSH mkII with TWO huge touch screens to replace the alpha numeric displays. I'd prefer this to the jumble of buttons and learning all the option-shift button presses to get to obscure features. If I can just tap on a few menu buttons on a touch screen that are well labeled. That would be heaven. Also, it would allow for longer lists of presets, the ability to adjust parameters graphically, oh... and use the touch screen as one big or several small X-Y pads.

Also include 2 audio ins, 4 audio outs, a headphone jack with A/B monitor switch for those wanting to DJ or make the most of it for live gigs.

I'll sacrifice powering the option of powering the thing via USB to have all that. Throw in the ability to create custom layouts and I could ditch the iPad. It'll be pricier, but then that'll keep the Push mkI alive for those who don't need/want all of those features, but give existing Push users a serious reason to shell out big bucks on the next-gen Push.

So far we haven't paid any fees. I think they are going to offer stuff like plug-in rentals/sales and make money that way. I think Splice works really well for Ableton Live at least.

I haven't tried on Windows, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Live is cross-platform after all.

the major features for next version would be:

Do you mean microtuning primarily within Live the different instruments or also in clips and in Push?

Well, what I was thinking about was a midi device that could be placed in front of an instrument to load/tune different tunings. I know there are synths that can do that. One could also make it with Absynth or make a synth in Reaktor, but it would be nice to have a device for all instruments, so clips and push would also play the notes accordingly in that case.

*edit: Haha, I just read the new functions of Max 7 and it has a retuning function and a M4L device that does exactly what I want it to do, plus one can import Scala tunings.

Well, hopefully they don't update anything in the next two-three weeks.

1. Another one here for a pop out midi editor. Would be so much nicer than the cramped up situation we've got going now.

2. Stability from day one or at least month six.

3. PDC, VST3 support. (That's the basic shit.)

4. Note auditioning in Push's step sequencer. Option for rotaries to be precise. (More basic shit.)

Hell, this ain't even a wishlist. More like a list of demands!
