Well if the sound output volume is a lot higher than the other (analog) volca´s.... I might be tempted.
Otherwise I´ll pass.... then I rather pay the premium for a Reface DX later.

Whats wrong with the outputs of the volcas? I've got V,Bass and V.Sample, output is great.
Which Volcas do you own?
Also if you look closely at that pic it's a Volca digital FM synth.

Bankmanager probably says no too
I have to say this is the sort of thing which appeals to me. I've always loved a patching matrix and never really loved patch cables. The little fuckers break and the whole fascia gets obscured by a jumble of copper and plastic. I really really like this as a concept, however - after my recent experiences with the BeatStep Pro and its inability to step beats professionally (until the very recent firmware update) I'd wait 12 months
after release to actually buy one of these mothers.
But my GAS got triggered hard by this thing.

I had the Volca Bass and returned it as the volume output was way too low for my taste and I am not the only one complaining about this, there are a lot of discussions about this on the internet (wish I had seen those sooner and spared me the trouble).
So I traded it in for the Microbrute (which is on offer these days) and the difference is night and day!
But that´s what I said, as this will be a digital FM synth, let´s hope the output volume will be a lot better compared to the analog Volca´s. /fingers crossed.

Probably going to cost an arm and leg for sure!
But I agree, as I own the Microbrute now, which had it´s last firmware update more than 2 years ago and people are still waiting for the sequencer sync bug to be fixed. Just read about it on the forums two days ago. One person even started an online petition to get Arturia to take this problem seriously and fix it.
Luckily I sequence everything in Ableton, so I won´t run into that problem and love the Microbrute, but if I was heavy sequencer user I would be pissed and would have brought it back to the store already and asked for a refund.
Also their OSC´s are kind of unstable.... have the Microbrute for a little week now and have had to re-tune it several times now!
So unless they use some better quality hardware in this thing.... I would think twice buying this thing.

Weird, loads of people smash it out on the volca bass too. Never had any issues with volume on mine yet........

Not something I'd use, but it's kinda cool after watching the video.

I applaud them for thinking outside the box.
although ... I'm not sure I'm in the market for a $600 TechnoTambourine but it looks like it would liven up somebodies live set.
