I caught the tail end of the Trini game at the deli on my lunch break.
--A pretty exciting tail to catch. When Trini popped that offsides goal (that didn't count) a bunch of people with Pastrami breath cheered because us Americans don't know anything about Soccer (football).
We're so psyched for Ecuador

Even tho he scored, I'm not sure at all about Crouch. Maybe time will prove me wrong, hope so.
Great to see Rooney and Lennon, totally gave Beckham somebody to work with.

england looked like crap most of the game. they couldn't score for the longest time even though T&T sat back and let them come the entire game.
the cross by beckham was pretty nice though.

ok, so...
apparently I make 3.14 posts a day ,which is sad in itself.
But, theres about 23 days until the final.
23 * 3.18 = 73.14 ,we'll say 73 then, 73 posts that I will probably make between now and then.
my current post count including this post is 1969
that means my post count on the cup final day will be 2,042 rather than 1,966
So I predict that whover wins the 2042 world cup will also win the 2006 world cup.
please god make them stop talking about 1966, I wish someone else had won it, or it was before the dawn of television. anything, god it's so dull. I wasn't even born and I am meant to feel proud. It's like a celebration of failure.
how English.

have you seen Bill Bailey live or on DVD?
I have the "part troll" DVD and he does a long rant about that kind of Englishness - it's hilarious, get it if you havent seen it.

Did they show in Australian TV slow motion close up of that long fellow who pulled himself up by pulling T&T chaps hair before the score? rather weird, interesting that he cant be punished for that, neither the goal nullified.
Is it some Koohinoor curse that English cant win normal way like other teams do ( I just saw BBC documentary, the scientists from Oxford cleared beyond any doubt that the infamous 1966 Wemblay ball was never in)
