what I'm working with right now for my live sets - is an sp808 , the faders come in handy(send midi), & a X-session,
So I have the knobs and the faders, pads I'm lacking...

Nice werk mate.
If you did a video with the Akai MPD24 you would get a lot sales.

i now have a 2 output version available for use with an external mixer.
if you've already bought the template, it's free

It's not hard to set up another control device to use the template. The template has all the midi mapping done for you - so all you have to do is note which midi note/message does what, and edit the preset in your MPD24 to send the same note/message.
I think the template comes with an Enigma Template, too. So you can download Enigma (from M-Audio) and find out what all the pads/faders/knobs on the Trigger Finger send - then set up your MPD24 to send the same notes/messages.
I really like the loom of the MPD24 - how are you getting on with it?

Yeah the Mpd is pretty dope. Excellent build quality.
But i am really getting into my Novation 25SL now and its making the mpd feel neglected... but she is a hot bitch and can find another man easily.
So i am getting on down with my multi-nippled knobbed-out baby now.
Its a shame the continuous controllers on the mpd arent on the novation.
I would marry her then.

Sounds good - you should be able to edit the presets on the 25SL in the same way. You should check out the novation website. I don't know if there is editor software for the SL series, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is.

things are going really well.
i have a new template in development but it won't be ready for another few weeks. i'm getting it ready for this world tour i'm doing starting next month.
it's an a/v template with drumpad based clip triggering and a few more options. somem things have been streamlined too... i'll update when it's ready.
