My install went pretty smoothly - I think. All templates are working, but here are a few strange things:
1) Tap tempo and tempo control are only working when the "plug-in automap" is active.
2) The Automap Server has to be running for tempo control to work
3) If you are using any plug-ins in your current sets and you want to take advantage of the plug-in automap, don't forget to swap the plug-in in your set with the new version found in the respective plug-in folder, i.e. in my alphakanal folder, there are now 2 listings for Automat - Automat, and Automat (Automap).
Does anybody have the tap tempo / tempo control working on every template? I like having it centralized and I hope it works with all templates.
Joe.

I am thinking about picking up one of these but am unclear about the status of universal automap. Is it, or is it not working properly. It seems to be getting positive feedback on the KVR forums, but I want to primarily use this with Live? Anyone care to report more experiences, issues, raves? Thanks!

this setting appears to only work with AU plugins. for vst's it seems to be useless.NorthernMonkey wrote: 4. 'Automap Focus Follows Plug-in UI' setting has no effect (the manual states 'activating this causes the SL to map to which ever plug-in is currently selected in your DAW' - I still have to manually enable the 'A' on the automap strip to get the remote to switch plugin mappings)
so in some cases you might be best using AU versions of plugins. but not predator or blue because when you change presets, the parameters on the novation don't get updated so you still see the old parameters (likewise in live's unfolded device parameters).
i'm starting to think this automap is more f'ng hassle than it's worth tbh.
