I can't believe you guys don't see how George Bush was behind this

if you notice - the building was chained, well buildings like that can't be chained

and the 2 hour gap - well, George Bush was in a meeting so they say, but did you know no meeting lasts for 2 hours

Not really. You'd have to also ban Bats, Automobiles, Knives, Bows, Axes and every other object that could kill aswell. as for timothy mcveigh, I guess you missed the part where I said it would take planning & time etc to make and explode a bomb. I'm talking about folks flipping out, getting their hands on a gun, and killing people...within the space of a couple of hours. Do you think timothy woke up that morning and decided to blow the place up ? doubtful. more likely he was thinking about it for a longish time.

I was reffering to the Amish school house first off. Secondly, the right person yes absolutley. You take a man the size of hulk hogan (or any large individual) pissed off with a bat, an axe and a chain/lock to keep 30 high school students trapped in a class room and your going to have 30 dead high school students. Even two average men working together, same result.

if one of your brothers, sisters, cousins or friends was killed at Virginia Tech yesterday you'd be pretty well, distraught

quit blaming shit (unless it's george bush) and ask yourself what can you do to make the world a better place (we can start by getting rid of all the mexicans)

I also direct your attention to serial killers who sometimes patiently work for years killing people -- one at a time. Not always with guns, either.

In fact, wasn't one of the worst tried in Canada just last year?

On [English] Channel 4 News earlier on today they had the show's main anchor man Jon Snow "live from Virginia Tech..." going over the most banal details of the incident; "...and we're told Mr Cho was quite a tall man, but whether this had any bearing on the killings, we're just not sure..." and then talking live to one of the dead professor's son's in Tel Aviv and saying, and I quote:

"We know your father must have been a very brave man who chose to dedicate his life to teaching students in the Land of the Free, but have you managed to piece together a picture of his final moments from people you've spoken to?"

The poor guy's dad has been dead for just 24 hours and the news reporter is effectively asking "So - your dad got slaughtered by a loony - what's it like?? Go on - imagine it in detail just for us..."

It made for excruciating television.

And for all the "USA #1" NRA pro-gun freaks, have you not noticed the way this has been reported as "the latest campus mass killing" - as if students going on gun rampages and killing double figures worth of people is just something that happens.

Seems as though the new gun laws are working well in this country with a homicide rate with a firearm at 0.27 per 100000 in 2002-2003. Half of what it was prior to the Tasmanian bloodbath 10 years ago.
This figure is 15 times less than the American figure. Considering your massive population, thats a huge body count!
We have not had this type of killing spree since.
Yes, criminals will always get a gun even if guns are banned, but in Victoria there has been a 'Gang War' in the last 10 years where they are only killing each other. Thats right. Strangely, if you dont carry a gun, you seem to be quite safe over here.
