hmm, you have kinda mangled the quotes there!

but yes, I notice that the server is now sending the wrong MIME type for this file. I'll fix that at some point, but you should still be able to get the file OK by right clicking (or option clicking) and choose "save link as".

this will save the file correctly, without the browser trying to unravel the text.

I'll sort the mime types out later on. My hosts must have had a crazy moment and done something to my .htaccess

and its not???
Not what, real guitar? No, it's just an instrument preset run through the generative tune maker.

Audio Effect Rack for Live 8.

Vocoder Generator.

This is one of those self-generating noise toys.

The Vinyl crackle effect drives the pitch extraction in the Vocoder.
Another harmonic can be added with a frequency shifter.
Then a grain delay adds a sense of space.

You can generate percussive tones at low crackle density or continuous drones at high densities.

Yeah, the best thread ever here, as far as I'm concerned. This is how things were done before "I think you could do something like that in m4L" became the catch-all.

That's a fantastic little piece krismkelley, and I can't wait to try out arachnaut's pack. I'll have to revisit this whole thing.

Hey does anybody happen to have the download Project File for this? The download site has since been taken down. I would be forever grateful if someone could either help me track it down or zip it and email it to me. Thanks!

I too would like the file. Back in 2007 my flatmate was an aspiring hypnotist and we used the live set to make a recording for 3rectile dysfunction! True story

I'll slap the files up on my new site this evening.
There's a few of these I ought to drag over, life intervenes!

I pasted the original topic and the files into my abominable looking site. I'm going to sharpen that beast up a bit over the next few days, it's lain there looking horrible and unloved for far too long.

anyway - here's the
Ableton Live Generative tutorial and example files

Thanks very much!

Sounds very interesting. I'll go and experiment with some of my own samples in these projects.
